The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The service level made for intervention ordeals a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a read more service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
